The mission of the SVÍTÁNÍ organizations is to provide education and other subsequent services to children, young adults and adults with combined disabilities to develop their personality, independence and integration into the society.
At the beginning in 1992 there was a group of parents of disabled children who wished for their children to get education and everyday contact with their peers without losing growing up in the family environment. These parents established a civil association: Svítání – Association helping disabled children, Pardubice. Later that year the association founded private special needs school for disabled children: Primary School and Practical School SVÍTÁNÍ.
As the children were growing older the civil association stated operating the Day Centre SVÍTÁNÍ as a centre of daily activities for adults with mental and combined disabilities providing services of Social Welfare Institution.
SVÍTÁNÍ is a group of organizations providing complex services including education, therapies and daily activities to people with mental and combined disabilities of various age groups from children of pre-school age to young adults and adults.
