Education
Education is provided in following types of school:
Primary school
Target group:
Children from 1st to 5th year with combined disabilities who were not able to be integrated in common primary school.
Targets:
Reach the requirements of primary school thanks to small group of pupils in a class and individual approach and if possible, integrate the pupils in common primary school in following years.
Primary practical school
Target group:
Children with combined disabilities usually including light or mild mental disability.
Targets:
Personality development, providing knowledge, skills and routines necessary for pupils´ everyday life.
Primary special school
Target group:
Children with combined disabilities usually including severe mental disability that does not allow the pupils to meet requirements of common primary school.
Targets:
Gaining knowledge, skills and routines necessary for pupils´ orientation in the outside world and maximal possible independence on other people’s help.
Practical school biennial
Target group:
Pupils who passed the primary practical or special school.
Targets:
Providing the pupils with abilities for independent existence in the society, improving their reading, writing and maths, helping them to acquire manual abilities for doing light housework and DIY.
Basic education course
Target group:
Children, young adults and adults with mental or combined disabilities who have not pass the basic education.
Targets:
Passing the basic education.
The course is finished by passing written and oral exam. After passing the course, pupils may be accepted to Practical school biennial.
Classes for autistic children
Target group:
Autistic children and children with similar communication defects.
Targets:
Pupils´ socialization, development of their cognitive abilities, improvement of their verbal and non-verbal communication, minimization of excesses and behavioural deficits using the TEACH programme based on individual approach to pupils, structuring and visualising of the curriculum.
